My Approach
If you are at a difficult or emotional stage in your life it can help to talk to someone. Everyone suffers emotional difficulties at some time in their life and this can make us feel overwhelmed, desperate and scared.
It is often difficult to share these worries with family or friends, not wanting to burden or worry them or just needing space to get a sense of your own feelings and needs. Person-centred counselling works from the belief that everyone has at their core the capacity to grow, improve and change to be the best they can be, despite their situation.
What Is Counselling
Counselling is a place to help you explore the personal worries and issues you face. I aim to listen in an accepting, understanding, therapeutic and confidential way. During the counselling I aim to build a warm, honest, genuine and open relationship between us, in which you find trust in me and yourself, to empower you to explore your personal world and make the best decisions for yourself. This in turn, I believe, will enable you to reflect and make the best decisions for yourself in order to develop your own personal growth.
“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination.”
Carl Rogers
